The Pump Delivery/Set-up Technician is a member of the Pump and Power Team who will service and maintain AQUATECH’s electric and diesel powered pumping equipment as well as diesel power generating equipment at our Ottawa/Concord facility or at the customer’s job site. Health and Safety is a major responsibility of this position.
Job Responsibilities
- Service and repair AQUATECH pumping and power generating equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Daily handling of pumps and pumping accessories
- Perform regular maintenance and servicing on equipment in the rental fleet between each rental to ensure product reliability
- Perform inspections of fleet equipment for possible damages, report and document damages accordingly
- Test all repaired equipment prior to releasing
- Maintain AQUATECH’s fleet of gas and diesel powered vehicles
- Perform preventative maintenance on shop equipment
- Load, deliver and pick up equipment and supplies
- Assist as needed in the set-up of pumping and/or environmental equipment
- Respond to emergency field service calls
- Participate in a rotating after-hours emergency response on-call schedule
Qualifications and Required Experience
- Strong Knowledge of engine repair; diesel preferred
- General knowledge of electrical wiring systems (220 and 575 volt)
- Basic reading and mathematical skills
- Legible handwriting
- Ability to clearly communicate
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team setting
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds frequently and on a daily basis
- Uninhibited ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, push, pull, reach and grasp
- Valid Class A or D Driver’s License an asset
- Forklift Certification preferred
- WHMIS, Confined Space and Fall Arrest Training an asset
