Aquatech Open House

By Khoa Ly-Kilis -

“It’s Happening, Growth of Infrastructure, Industry and Community – We Can Work Together” was the focus for Aquatech’s Open House, demonstrating that growth and development can be supported while protecting the integrity of the natural environment.

On August 14, 2008, Aquatech’s Open House brought together over 300 engineers, contractors, consultants, developers, municipalities and environmental regulatory agencies to continue communications and increase the level of understanding for each other’s perspectives and goals. The Open House had demonstrations and display of environmentally-friendly and energy efficient pumping equipment and systems.

Guest speakers included Sam Ciccolini as the MC, Regional Councillor Joyce Frustaglio brought greetings from the City of Vaughan, Deborah Martin-Downs (TRCA) discussed how industry and environmental regulatory agencies can work together, and Romeo De Gasperis spoke on behalf of the industry.
